What’s the cheapest way to get a landline?

Business and Tips & Tricks

Use the landline provided by your broadband provider

Most internet service providers bundle a landline in with their broadband deals. If you’re comfortable using your home telephone number for your business and you’re going to be buying broadband anyway, this is probably going to be the most cost effective option for you.

Install a new line

If you want a separate telephone line for your business, you‘ll often have to pay a fee to install a new line. The price for this varies from provider to provider and can range from £20 to £130. After that, you’ll need to pay for line rental, which can be anything between £10-£20 per month.

Call forwarding with Dial 9 (cheapest)

Dial 9’s call forwarding service is easily the cheapest way to get a landline for your business. For just £5/month, you can choose a free 01, 02, 0330 or 0800 telephone number and receive 60 inclusive minutes every month for free.

Not only will you save money, you’ll be able to take your landline with you whenever you leave the house as calls can be diverted to your mobile. We also have apps for iOS and Android, so you can still make and receive calls, even if you’re stranded in a place with poor phone signal.
