Setting up the Cisco ATA191

To manually set up your Cisco ATA191 device you will need access to the Dial 9 Portal to get the extension login details and the Cisco web ui to enter the details.

How to access the web configuration utility on the Cisco ATA191

The default IP address of the phone adapter is 192.168.15.1. If no webpage appears try to reset the IP address. In order to reset the IP address, hold the reset button for 30 seconds. This resets the default IP address as well as all other settings to factory defaults.

  • Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the phone adapter in the address bar, then press Enter.

  • Enter the username of the device in the Username field. The default username is admin.

  • Enter the password of the device in the Password field. The default password is admin.

  • Click Login to enter the web configuration utility. The Quick Setup page opens.

SIP account configuration

Under Line 1 please enter the following:

  • Proxy: - sip.dial9.co.uk
  • Display Name: - Enter the name that you want to use to identify your account. This name typically is used as your Caller ID name.
  • User ID: - Enter the extension username.
  • Password: - Enter the extension password.
  • Auth ID: - Enter the extension username.
  • Use Auth ID: Yes
  • SIP URI: extension-username@sip.dial9.co.uk.

An example SIP URI would be mybusiness-201@sip.dial9.co.uk

  • Dial Plan: - *xx*xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx|xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Click Submit to save your settings.

To verify your settings are correct click Voice in the menu bar, and then click Info in the navigation tree. Verify that the Registration State is Registered for Line 1 Status.

If the line is not registered, you may need to refresh the browser as it can take a few seconds for the registration to complete.
