Editing a phone system

Clicking the edit icon to the right hand side of a phone system in your list will allow you to edit it.

Unit details

In the first Unit details tab, you'll see a number of options relating to the current status of the unit:

Firstly, you can update the unit name, and add a customer reference, then if you wish enable the option to withhold the outbound caller ID on all outbound calls made through the unit.

Next, you can choose to sort music on hold either in alphabetical or random order, and enable or disable the unit as whole if necessary. If you disable the unit, you can provide a suspension reason for reference.

Finally, you can choose a number of days for call recording retention. This by default is blank, which means call recordings are kept indefinitely but if you enter for example 30 days, all call recordings older than that will be automatically removed on a rolling daily basis.

Resource Prices

In this tab, you can override any specific subscription prices normally set in your price plan, as well as providing free resources via the Included Quantity, and a maximum number of resources in the Maximum Quantity.

In this tab, you can configure several options relating to how the phone system is billed:

Unit billing options

Initially, you can update the phone system's price plan, then set a number of finance options. Set a credit limit if you wish to be able to permit users of the phone system to make calls and use resources up to the value of the limit, or leave it set to 0 if you want to require funds to be in place beforehand.

Next, set a balance warning threshold if you wish to warn customers when their balance reaches this amount, and a daily call cost limit to ensure total call costs made through the system don't exceed the limit.

You can also apply a maximum per minute cost to stop calls being placed to numbers that cost more than the limit, and add a limit for the call connection fee.

Finally, if you wish to provide the unit with some inclusive (free) minutes for outbound calls, you can set that here.

Once you've made any changes you can click Save to apply them, or Delete if you wish to remove the unit from your partner account.
